What Made Me Happy In The Month Of July

Gratitude Journal: What made me happy in July

This months has, hands down, been the worst for me with my fibromyalgia. I have been off work for three weeks this month and stupidly struggled through one week at work. My body has been really protesting and has been telling me in no uncertain terms it has had enough. If you push yourself too hard for too long you are physically going to crash. That’s where I am at just now. It’s made me realise things need to change in my life and I feel positive about making some changes for the better. The good thing about this flare? My mood has been good and I’ve remained pretty upbeat and positive. That’s a big step forward for me. Usually I will be hating on my body for failing me. I’ve realised that there is no point in doing that as it just makes you miserable. Here’s hoping I am back to my usual self sometime soon.

♥ Catching up with my friend who is home for a few weeks and hearing all her crazy stories.
♥ BBQ with friends.
♥ Photographing a skate competition and the Bruce Festival.
♥ Writing a beginner photography guide for my friends.
♥ Helping out my friend by creating a website for her mum’s business.
♥ Watching TV show box sets with Ross. This month we have watched Seasons 1&2 of American Horror Story and Season 1 of The Killing.
♥ Having our NFL Fantasy Football Draft. 10 of us on laptops and computers in one house, drafting our players was intense haha!
♥ Watching Ross using the birthday voucher I got him to Knockhill and having a great time driving a racing car.
♥ The sun has been out this month and we’ve had lots of warm, sunny days.
♥ Taking a drive up to the East Neuk of Fife and going on a short walk along the coastal path.
♥ Discovering Newburn Bakehouse gluten-free bread and wraps.
♥ Buying some new clothes for my holiday at the end of August.
♥ Finally having my neurologist appointment.

What made you happy this month?

  1. Completing two summer session classes and not making less than a B in either of them made me very happy. Just managing to complete them made me happy. Knowing that I can do that makes it clear that I can survive a normal semester with a “normal” load.
