Today, I am sharing the process of painting my Orca watercolour (video below). This painting is titled ‘Where I Belong’ and is available as an art print in my online shop.
I adore Orca and painted this killer whale swimming free. I believe these powerful and intelligent animals belong in the ocean rather than in captivity, hence the name of this piece.

Filming My Painting Process
Creating art videos is something I have wanted to do since the beginning of the year. However, I found myself procrastinating getting started because it felt overwhelming!
Eventually, I figured it was best to start with what I have and learn as I go. If anyone has any tips for filming or editing art videos, be sure to let me know down in the comments.
I’d also love any recommendations on where I can find royalty-free music to use in my videos.
I filmed the video using my Sony RX100iii, an overhead boom arm and my desk lamp (no fancy filming set up here!).
I may not be able to film every painting I create but I am hoping to share as much as I can, starting with the speed painting video below.
I’m thinking of adding a voice-over in future, so if this is something that would interest you let me know in the comments at the bottom of the post.
