There is nothing that inspires me more than individuals with chronic illness who go on to become entrepreneurs. I have a lot of admiration for people who set up their own businesses and find a way to make their job work for them in spite of their illness. I am excited to say that the first two sponsors of February Stars are doing just that. Let me introduce you to Bear Hugs Gifts and Tarot Farm.
Bear Hugs Gifts

Bear Hugs Gifts is a new start up company founded by Faye Savory. You may be familiar with her brilliant blog Bed, Bear Hugs & Beyond (formerly Freckles & All), where she writes inspirational posts about life with M.E. Bear Hugs offer a range of gift boxes that are specially designed to comfort and uplift. The concept is simple: send someone you love a Bear Hug to brighten their day and make them smile. They make lovely, thoughtful gifts for birthdays or as a congratulations or thank you gift. Not to mention they are the perfect comfort gift to send as a get well soon present or to someone having a tough time with chronic illness. It’s a great way to let someone you care about know you are thinking of them. I’m also totally on board with the idea of treating yourself to a self-care package… because why not? You know you deserve it!
There are different boxes to choose from and each gift box can be sent directly to a loved one with a personalised photo note card included. Find Bear Hugs Gifts on Etsy You can also follow Bear Hugs on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Tarot Farm

Tarot Farm is run by Ali Wade and offers motivational guidance to help you progress with your life. Ali has fibromyalgia and needed to find a way that she could earn an income from any location, without having to travel or attend events. A life-long interest in Divination was reawakened and Ali is now studying Tarot, Runes and Numerology. She has found that the global Tarot community is fantastic and told me that she is making new friends every day. In Ali’s own words, “Fibromyalgia isn’t always negative. We just need to be prepared to change our lifestyles, whilst ensuring that our self-care is always priority.”
Ali offers readings and profiles purely by email, which allows her to work around her other commitments and pacing needs (which is also useful to clients who are ill). If you are interested in finding out more or booking a reading, please visit the Tarot Farm website. You can also follow Tarot Farm on Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter. It’s honestly fascinating stuff!
